I seriously ended up spending 30 minutes playing this, which shows the average viewer that this is indeed a really fun and addicting game. Now i know that this has sort of been done alot, but usually it is with just the normal cursor, this has a length of string that you have to weave through the maze so you have to worry about the back end not touching the walls aswell. I thought that the music for the background was so well chosen that it wasnt annoying, as with a game like this the last thing you want to have to be more concerned about is the music, it would just frustrate the user alot if its done wrong. I thought that each level gave its own challenge, well except for the earlier episodes which really just get you use to the whole feel of the game. I thought that if there was one thing wrong with this game it would have to be that menu i mean it just wasnt really user friendly, i like how you tried to incorparate the line into the scheme of it but it just didnt work. I thought that the scoring system was done alittle strangely aswell, if i am following the right pointscard you get points for every centimeter of moving you do, which seems to leave an open flaw of ppl just going backwards and forwards. The high score sheet also left me alittle puzzled as the first user had a score of 0, unless you are meant to get the least amount of points, all i was focused on doing was getting that string to the other side of the puzzle no matter how. I myself ended up on the 13th level but just didnt have enough hearts to go on. Overall this was a really enjoyable game, and i would love to see you take some of my advise and bring out a second volume.

HJ, thanks for the lengthy review. I'm developing another version of the game and I'll take your comments into consideration. I do agree that the menu was a big mistake and a lot of people closed the game righht away because they couldn't figure it out. As far as scoring goes, it doesn't go by distance, but by time. It just increments 1 to each second passed. At the end, the person with the lowest score (least amount of time taken to complete) comes out on top. Unfortunately, it's been hacked a lot, and deleting scores has become a burden, so I'll just let this slied and work on better url encryption and swf obfuscation for the second volume. Thanks

Well i ended up with 8040 points and i dont think that was overly impressive, if you went hard at it you could really put on a ridiculous score but i think the main part of this game was not the gameplay as such but the humour which you gave to it, as without the fat theme you went with you would have been left with a pretty boring game. I thought that the song was well chosen, i thought that the backgrounds were well chosen for the theme also. Overall you brought it all together for a good game.

Well i did alright in the end i had 84 points when i let one of them through, i didnt overheat luckily. I thought that the style for this was something that i havent seen in a game as of yet and it was really creative, i thought that the best part of the style was the little explosion designs that looked really cute, the background had to be the downfall of the design as it just seemed alittle cheap. I thought that the game played really well because you kept it simple all i had to do was click when the ships lined up which made it really easy for anyone to play. I thought that the ships gun shot sound was cool and really suited the feel of the game. Overall you have created something so easy to play, yet you kept it interesting.

Not bad!

Glad you liked the gfx. Probably right about the bg... I wanted to make sorta static speedline things. I realise though that it didn't work.

Glad you liked it!

Your reviews are totally Super-Awesome! Some line breaks might make the review easier to read, but I'm just being picky.

Thanks again for your awesome reviews! Any future ones will also be appreciated.

Stay funky,

Well i have to give you props on this amazing platformer, its rare that you see one like this thats so deep. I thought that the gameplay was fun although i thought that there were afew areas that kinda annoyed me such as the jump feature which seemed to vary in height i could obtain every time i used it, i could barely get on those clouds because it was so hard. I thought that the enemies and the whole collecting items features were really well thought out. The only other problem i could find with this was probably the no health problem which kinda makes the game less desirable. I thought that you achieved a very exciting atmosphere by using vibrant colors and a cool main character. Overall i would have to say that this is in the 'great' pile of newground flash games.

Well firstly i can't believe it but i was actually able to finish both the easy version and the hard version, the last question in the hard quiz was just nuts, it was asking how many clips were in a clip show luckily i just guessed and got it right but darn was it difficult, which shows that your doing your job right i suppose. I thought that the extras were alittle weak in content though but it was good to see you added some at all, the quotes should have had sound behind them instead of having to read them and the speed quiz was just too short only having the three questions just didnt put any pressure on. Overall you have done well with coming up with both levels of difficulty for the questions, also what was up with that cool simpsons mix?

Thanks for the review... about the Simpsons Remix, I got it off the audio portal, if you want to ever use it in a flash or something. Thanks a lot for the review!

Well when it loaded i was shocked to find that you didnt do any menu for this soundboard, as all of your other ones have had ones so far. I did like the design for this one though and i think that getting that right far out weighed any menu screen. Your simple design actually paid off for this one as the yellow of the background and the header really did just scream 'dynamite' to me, only problem i would have to point out would be the text that runs over the picture of him that seemed alittle unprofessional. You did include good and high quailty sound clips but i thought that were you lacked was in quantity as you only had eighteen clips, there were heaps of good moments. You did include my favourite line in the movie, that being the "sensei" line which i thank you for. Overall you again have picked a good basis to design a sb on, only this time you have got the style right, good work.

Frenzy responds:

Yeah, for some reason I didn't include a menu to this one... maybe I should have. The text running over the picture was kind of hard to not do... anyway, thanks for the review!

It was again a nice soundboard that you have constructed here, using a good theme for one is always the best place to start. I thought that again you used a very similar style to your clock soundboard which i think is just too simple and i would love for you to add something to make the background and buttons more interesting. Sound quality was alittle hazzy but i could hear everything very well and you did capture alot of good moments here. I also like how you added a poster from the movie but besides that i wasnt too impressed with the design. I like how you added a couple of different options at the menu but the main one was the movie information page were you did a good job at filling in details. Overall i would have to say that from dusk till dawn was one of the most memorable movies of the 90's and you did it justice in this soundboard.

Well i thought that you did a pretty good job with this soundboard. I thought that the song you constructed for the menu screen was great, although the design of the menu wasnt that impressive, you did add a couple of options which was good to see. The extras didnt turn out to be very interesting though sorry, maybe you could have set out the clock crew pictures abit better and alittle denser as there was only like 4 pictures and it kinda cut off two of them, the other extra wasnt bad its good to link to the site. The soundboard itself, now you have done some parts really well i like the vast amounts of sounds you have added and i also liked how you included a stop all sounds button which really helps when they start cluttering, the part that i thought needed improvement was probably the layout again, the buttons seemed alittle simple in design and the background was just a plain white one i wouldnt have minded you spicing it up alittle. Overall i think you have created a really good soundboard just presentation of it was lacking.

I see this is like a revamp of the other one you have of this game. You have improved on the graphics, background design and the background music to create a much more solid game. I also enjoyed the inclusion of that character you use to kick the ball around. Although i do see that this is only a demo, i would like if you were to add a 2 player mode into the actual game, could you picture it? the madness of two balls flying around the screen at the same time, you would have to have the controls setup on the keyboard though.

Hey, I like the idea of 2 player. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to comment on all my games:)

Alright i came out of easy mode with 69 i have a feeling that that score wasnt too good at all.. ouch. I liked the hands you used to hold the gun it gave a very real feel to it and the reloading times were pretty decent too. I liked the look of the game too although maybe the background started to get alittle annoying when focusing on the targets but i guess that adds to the fun. I like how you added bonus points for extra rounds and you had green targets for ppl to avoid from shooting, it really added deepth.
